Wouldn’t it be nice if the President of the United States had better, more important things to do than watch television and whine about what comedy shows say about him while he makes up outlandish conspiracy theories all night? Well, the days where a president actually worked are long gone thanks to Donald Trump, and the president’s tendency to avoid doing his job has only gotten worse.
Trump loves to say that he never watches TV, but we all know by how quickly he responds to what’s just happened on his favorite shows — and even the shows he hates — that he is definitely paying attention. Saturday Night Live, in fact, perhaps the president’s favorite frenemy show, aired a new episode last night that tore up the administration and poked fun at the various takes on the Robert Mueller probe and the “summary” provided by Trump’s hand-picked Attorney General.
Trump has yet to respond to this one, but we can’t imagine his Twitter freakout will be much different than the last time SNL dragged him — when he basically said he wanted the NBC show investigated by the authorities.
It was clear that Trump was parked in front of the television (as usual), watching Saturday Night Live — and he likely didn’t sleep at all because early the next morning he was on Twitter complaining about how he was portrayed. In an unhinged tweet, Trump called SNL a “Republican hit job” and even suggested that he would take legal action. Trump whined:
Nothing funny about tired Saturday Night Live on Fake News NBC! Question is, how do the Networks get away with these total Republican hit jobs without retribution? Likewise for many other shows? Very unfair and should be looked into. This is the real Collusion!”

That wasn’t even remotely the first time he’s done it, either. He last tweeted back in December about the “Democratic spin machine” at SNL and threatened to do something about it back then as well.
Yes, an elderly man actually threatened legal consequences because someone made fun of him on television. Trump truly has the thinnest skin on the planet and the maturity of a 5-year-old. If this is how Trump is starting Sunday morning, we can only expect that more tweets like this are going to be sprinkled throughout the day. This clown can’t get impeached fast enough!
