We all know that Donald Trump cares more about appearances than anything else. Trump doesn’t give a damn about doing his actual job, but the president WILL make sure that his staff look presentable and that his television ratings are on point. It’s sad that we have a president like this, but the even worse part about it is that the president is making taxpayers pay for his obsession with appearances.
It’s now come to light that Trump hired a full time makeup artist for high profile staff members such as White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway and White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. Now, that wouldn’t normally be a problem – except that it’s TAXPAYERS that are paying for it!
Conway and Sanders are both styled by makeup artist Katie Price, after the president was influenced by his former (and short lived) communications director Anthony Scaramucci. Apparently, it was Scaramucci’s recommendation to hire Price, who he praised on camera after she did Sanders’ makeup one time. Scaramucci said:
The only thing I ask Sarah — Sarah, if you’re watching, I loved the hair and makeup person we had on Friday, so I’d like to continue to use the hair and makeup person.”

Apparently, Trump was listening. Now Price is completely employed to make Trump’s communication staff look presentable as they lie to the country. It should be noted that neither the Obama nor Bush administration had an in-house makeup artist – this is a Trump White House thing. Considering that Trump is a reality television star before anything else, it makes perfect sense.
While it’s absolutely revolting that taxpayers are footing the bill on this, there’s one thing that Americans perhaps wouldn’t mind paying a makeup or hair stylist to do something about – Trump’s orange glow or that TERRIBLE hair. Unfortunately, that seems to be off limits.
