Trump Makes First Remark On Twitter After Iran Hit US Base In Iraq

Oh. My. God.

The shit has officially hit the fan.

As we’ve all been expecting for the past several days now, Iran has retaliated against the United States after Donald Trump recently made the split-second, uninformed, and completely self-serving decision to launch an airstrike on a traveling convoy near Baghdad International Airport that resulted in the death of Quds Force leader Qassem Soleimani.

Donald didn’t make this decision with the best interests of America at heart. He didn’t even make this decision based on the fact that Qassem Soleimani was a horrible, cruel human being. Donald Trump made this decision solely for the purpose of his own personal and political gain. He needed something to distract the masses from his ever-worsening impeachment scandal and hopefully lock in his chances for reelection this year at the same time.

Evidently, in Trump’s Adderall-fried brain, that translated to throwing this nation into a war with Iran that he has absolutely no idea how to handle.

I’m honestly not even sure what it was that the man was expecting. Despite the fact that he’s effectively filled his cabinet with sycophantic idiots who will bow at his every notion, I wouldn’t think he could possibly believe that the rest of the entire world would to the same.

But regardless of the thought process behind this move, as of just a few hours ago, Trump got far more than he bargained for when Iran fired approximately 15 missiles at a US base in Iraq — killing several Iraqis.

In the wake of this retaliation attack that we’ve seen coming for several days now, reports were somewhat conflicting. At first, several indicated that Trump, or at least some official from the White House, was preparing to address the nation concerning the attack. However, after some unconfirmed reports on social media pointed to tensions between Donald and United States Secretary of Defense Mark Esper in the Oval Office during the aftermath of the ordeal, it was declared that Trump nor anyone from Trump’s White House would be addressing the country in any official capacity.

For a bit, it honestly seemed as though Trump was actually going to keep his damn mouth shut for once. I mean, what is there to say when you’ve literally pushed the nation you swore to protect into a war of your own making?

However, this is Donald Trump we’re talking about here, and God knows that man never stays quiet.

While he was evidently far too cowardly to address the nation in a legitimate press conference, it seems as though his Twitter thumbs were still itching for some action.

So, Donald unsurprisingly took to his Twitter account to break his silence on the terrifying attack with the same dismissiveness we’ve all come to expect from the “president” of the United States:

“All is well! Missiles launched from Iran at two military bases located in Iraq. Assessment of casualties & damages taking place now. So far, so good! We have the most powerful and well equipped military anywhere in the world, by far! I will be making a statement tomorrow morning.”

All that translates to, folks, is “I need some time to get my shit together, come up with an excuse for this complete fucking dumpster fire I’ve created, and make sure that everyone in my administration has their lines memorized front and back.”
