One of Trump’s favorite falsehoods these days is his claim that he was present at Ground Zero after the tragedy that befell our country on September 11th, 2001.
Of course, this blatant lie has since been completely debunked by retired deputy chief of the New York Fire Department, Richard Alles who stated:
“I spent many months there myself, and I never witnessed him. He was a private citizen at the time. I don’t know what kind of role he could have possibly played.”
It’s now been revealed that 9/11 isn’t the only tragedy that Donald Trump has attempted to falsely insert himself into and exploit for attention and popularity.

Former Trump Organization executive Barbara Res sat down with MSNBC’s “The Beat” host Ari Melber to discuss Trump’s exploitation of one of America’s biggest tragedies and recalled another time that Trump attempted to pull a similar stunt — when a Trump Organization helicopter crashed, killing three people and Trump quickly began to claim that he was supposed to have been on that flight and just narrowly missed his own death.
“I’m going to tell you a little story,” Res told Melber. “We had a tragedy in the Trump Organization. There were three people, two top executives of the Atlantic City casinos and one very high up gentleman. And they came to New York for a press conference at the plaza, they were plugging a fight. And then they went back to Atlantic City and the helicopter crashed and they all died.”
“And it was a horror. It was a horror for everybody,” she went on.
“It wasn’t very long after that that he was putting out the word that he was supposed to be on that plane or that helicopter, and he didn’t at the last minute, he got pulled off the plane, in other words, he’d be dead now,” the former Trump executive explained.
“Total — total lie,” Res proclaimed. “Making himself part of the story, a very important story and undermining the fact that three people died, just like he is undermining what happened on 9/11 by exploiting it.”
There is absolutely nothing so sacred that Donald Trump won’t lie about and exploit for his own personal gain.
