Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) heaped praise on the bipartisan infrastructure bill that made it through Congress, calling it a “godsend” for his state. “We have a lot of infrastructure needs, both in rural areas and with big bridges. It’s a godsend for Kentucky,” McConnell said. That got to former President Donald Trump, who failed to secure an infrastructure bill during his four years in office. It felt like “infrastructure week” was supposed to be every week, but the bill never came to fruition. It was similar to the twice-impeached one-term president’s vow to have a viable alternative to Obamacare in “two weeks.”
Trump’s spokesperson Liz Harrington tweeted out the former president’s statement to circumvent his ban on the behemoth social site after inciting the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection. And Trump sounds jealous that President Joe Biden accomplished what he couldn’t master during his 4-year term in his first year.
“Why is it that Old Crow Mitch McConnell voted for a terrible Democrat Socialist Infrastructure Plan, and induced others in his Party to do likewise, when he was incapable of getting a great Infrastructure Plan wanting to be put forward by me and the Republican Party?” Trump said. “He continuously said he couldn’t get it passed, just like I had to go around him to get the very popular Southern Border Wall built (which caused great delay—but could now be completed in one month by Biden).”
“All of the Infrastructure money, $2 Trillion would have gone into real Infrastructure (roads, bridges, tunnels, airports, etc),” he added. “Also, why did Mitch give the Democrats a two-month hiatus, just long enough for them to figure it all out, when they were completely ready to fold?”

A 75-year-old calling a 79-year-old an ‘old crow’ isn’t exactly the flex he thinks it is.

Your Infrastructure Plan was always Two Weeks away. Still is, right?

The man who wrote “The Art of the Deal” was unable to make a deal despite having both the Senate & the House on his side. That’s an very odd argument to make. Please tell us how you were going to implement your plan with out raising the deficit.

“wanting to be put forward by me” I like presidents that can speak and spell correctly.

Trump could have found support behind a viable healthcare plan and an infrastructure bill, but he failed even to develop one. The thing is, to have accomplished that, it would have taken hard work, and that’s not Trump’s thing.
