Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the U.S. to honor and mourn military members who have died in the performance of their military duties while serving in the United States Armed Forces. Still, if you’re Donald Trump, it’s all about him. Trump uses his blog to air his grievances daily, which didn’t change as we near Memorial day weekend. And, of course, Trump attempted to blame President Joe Biden for the rise of gas prices, but that has already been debunked. The former president has an aversion to facts, though.
It’s all about him and not our fallen soldiers.
“With Memorial Day Weekend coming up, tomorrow people start driving in the biggest automobile days of the year. I’m sorry to say the gasoline prices that you will be confronted with are far higher than they were just a short number of months ago where we had gasoline under $2 a gallon,” Trump wrote on his blog. “Remember as you’re watching the meter tick, and your dollars pile up, how great of a job Donald Trump did as President. Soon Russia and the Middle East will be making a fortune on oil, and you will be saying how good it was to have me as your President. Wasn’t it great to be energy independent, but we are energy independent no more. Shame, shame, shame. Other than that, have a great Memorial Day Weekend!”
That is eerily similar to Trump’s Easter Day message when he ended it with, “Other than that, Happy Easter!” That’s right, on the holiest of days, Trump made it all about him. This is a constant thread with Trump, and this time, he didn’t even give a shout-out to the “losers and suckers” that lost their lives while defending this country. The twice impeached one-term president wants you to remember “how great of a job” he did as President even though hundreds of thousands of Americans died on his watch while he held super spreader rallies while dancing to YMCA.

With Trump, Trump comes first. America isn’t even in the equation. He’s just a shameless liar and falsely attacked Biden for gas prices. This is what happens when you elevate a malignant narcissist to the highest seat in the land. And now that Americans rejected him, he is still trying to stay in the spotlight.
