Trump Releases Bizarre, Unhinged Statement Trashing The Oscars’ “Record Low” Ratings

He's insane.

You know, when Donald Trump was finally, officially banned from Twitter for good I found myself with just the tiniest sliver of hope that maybe, being that he no longer had a platform, just maybe some of those unhinged, manic rants of his would come to a stop, or at least slow down a little. But this is Donald Trump we’re talking about here and where there’s a will, there’s a way. And Lord knows he’s not about to be “silenced.”

So, in came the “official statements.”

Since departing the White House,  Trump launched the Office of Former President and has been using it as a makeshift Twitter account, releasing his numerous grievances on official letterhead in much the same way he cranked out his unhinged tweets back in the day. But today’s “official statement” may be the tweet-y-est of them all.

In true Trump fashion, the former President of the United States felt he needed to weigh in via an official statement of a matter of grave national importance; the Oscars. More specifically, the Oscars’ low ratings.

“What used to be called The Academy Awards, and now is called the ‘Oscars’ — a far less important and elegant name — had the lowest Television Ratings in recorded history, even much lower than last year, which set another record low,” the former president fumed in his “official” capacity in a press release this afternoon. “If they keep with the current ridiculous formula, it will only get worse — if that’s possible.”

And to make a ridiculous situation that much worse, Trump went on to list ways he felt the awards show could improve the situation next time around.

“Change the name back to THE ACADEMY AWARDS, don’t be so politically correct and boring, and do it right,” Donald fumed on his official letterhead. “ALSO, BRING BACK A GREAT HOST. These television people spend all their time thinking about how to promote the Democrat Party, which is destroying our Country, and cancel Conservatives and Republicans.”

The full statement is available here, of course on Twitter, because even banned, we still can’t seem to get away from the guy:
