Trump Reportedly Has Dumped Giuliani As His Personal Lawyer

Welp!

Former President Donald Trump’s long-time lawyer and confidant Rudy Giuliani could probably use a good lawyer or ten right about now.

Dominion Voting Systems filed a defamation lawsuit against Giuliani, who played a key role in the former president’s months-long effort to overturn the 2020 election results. The New York Times reported that the lawsuit “seeks damages of more than $1.3 billion and is based on more than 50 statements Mr. Giuliani made at legislative hearings, on Twitter, on his podcast, and in the conservative news media.”

Giuliani’s troubles don’t end there. Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson is reportedly suing Trump, Rudy Giuliani, and two far-right groups — the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers — for allegedly conspiring to incite the deadly insurrection on Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol, NPR reports.

Well, now Trump’s bug-eyed attorney is no longer representing the former president in legal matters at this time, Trump spokesman Jason Miller said on Tuesday, Reuters reports. It sounds like Trump let Rudy Giuliani go. Maybe the former president can hire the personal injury lawyer that defended him at his Senate impeachment hearing.

And there is that pro-Trump attorney Lin Wood, except that the State Bar of Georgia is “proceeding with an inquiry” into the Georgia lawyer. After previously doxing his own son, he then doxed Georgia officials to hundreds of thousands of QAnon quidiots, asking an ‘Army of Patriots’ on Telegram to dig up dirt on officials who will decide whether he is disbarred or not. So, he’s probably busy getting disbarred somewhere.

Then, there’s the Kraken lady, Sidney Powell, except that she, too, is caught up in Dominion’s $1.3 billion lawsuit after trying to subvert the 2020 election. Powell and Giuliani are both being sued by voting technology company Smartmatic for $2.7 billion. Giuliani has been a friend and confidant to the former president, but loyalty with Trump is a one-way street. It certainly sounds like Rudy Giuliani is on his own. And so is Sidney Powell. Oh, and Lin Wood is on his own, too. I’m starting to see a pattern here.

Trump faces significant new legal threats as prosecutors in Georgia have joined those in New York to conduct criminal investigations into his actions. He might be running out of lawyers. Gee, I hope Trump paid Rudy before letting him go.
