Trump Reportedly Lost His Mind During Debate Prep After Chris Christie Triggered Him With Brutal Mock Question About Ivanka And Jared

According to Jonathan Karl’s new tell-all book, Betrayal, former New Jersey Governor and MAGA-Supreme-turned-Trump-critic Chris Christie (who’s been in the news himself quite a bit here lately, thanks to his sudden “change of heart” when it comes to the ex-president) managed to seriously trigger his old pal, Donald Trump, purposely no less, in the midst of debate prep as the now-former guy prepared to go head to head with Joe Biden on the debate stage.

According to Karl’s reporting Christie, who was playing the role of then-candidate Biden, was going hard at Trump during the prep for an upcoming debate, because he knew that’s exactly what Joe Biden was going to do on stage.

In his book, the ABC Chief White House Correspondent describes Donald being so triggered during one debate prep with Christie that he refused to even discuss how he would respond to the mock question Christie was posing to him. Wondering what the question was that Trump found so deeply offensive?

Christie pressed him about the fact that his children were profiting wildly despite the fact that they were working in his administration as public servants.

“You have real nerve talking about relatives taking advantage of political power,” Christie allegedly fired at Trump while playing the role of Biden. “You’ve invited your daughter and son-in-law into the White House and they made $36 million last year while they were doing the people’s business. Your family traded the influence they have in the White House to make tens of millions of dollars.”

The former New Jersey governor was, of course, merely trying to emulate the way then-candidate Biden would approach Trump when the topic was raised during debates. But that didn’t stop the then-president from getting absolutely livid.

“All Trump heard was Christie attacking his family right there in front of his top advisors,” Karl explains in his book.

“That’s absolutely untrue!” Donald screamed at Christie. “We’ve lost money here. My children are losing money being here. Jared has sacrificed more than anyone being away from his business. He hasn’t made any kind of money.”

“No, no, Mr. President,” Christie responded, maintaining his composure and continuing to imitate Biden. They filed disclosure statements that say they made at least $36 million last year. Are you saying they lied? They lied about how much money they made?”

Apparently, Trump fired back claiming that they could’ve made far more money, and seemingly suggested that $36 million was mere peanuts to Jared and Ivanka. Chris didn’t let up, prodding that Trump’s daughter and son-in-law made that money working “for you full time.” Christie’s refusal to back down only made Trump angrier and angrier.

“I’m not going to sit here and put up with this sh*t,” Karl reports Trump saying, all the while glaring hard at Christie with a look that I can only imagine said something along the lines of “eat shit and die.”

Apparently, Christie tried to explain to the then-president that he was not against bringing up Joe Biden’s controversial son Hunter during the presidential debates, but tried to make it clear that if Trump should choose to go that route, Donald had to be prepared for Biden to hit back hard regarding his children essentially grifting and profiting off their White House positions. Christie allegedly said that was something he absolutely had to prepare Trump for.

“Trump was done with it all,” Karl explains in his book. “This was exactly why he hated preparing for debates.”

“I don’t want to hear anymore,” Donald allegedly said. “I know what they’re going to say. Enough. Let’s move on.”

Was the crisis in Afghanistan surrounding the pull out of American Troops Biden's fault or Trump's fault?
