Yesterday, a bombshell development came from the House Select Committee that is currently investigating the infamous, deadly January 6th attack on the Capitol, when the panel delivered a unanimous vote to issue a subpoena against the scandal-ridden former president, Donald Trump, in regard to his clear and deep connection to the violence on that fateful day. Now, just one day following the brutal unanimous vote, former President Donald Trump has responded to the House Select Committee in an angry letter written to committee Chairman Bennie Thompson — in which he railed against the panel’s ongoing work and then proceeded to bizarrely brag about his crowd size.

In his response letter to the committee, Trump surprisingly did not even mention the subpoena itself, and instead launched a nasty, all-out attack against the panel, explaining that he was writing to them “to express our anger, disappointment, and complaint that with all of the hundreds of millions of dollars spent on what many consider to be a Charade and Witch Hunt.” Trump went on to attack the January 6th Committee for not looking into his claims of election fraud before he turned to launch a defense on behalf of the people he feels have been targeted by the House panel, claiming those individuals were only acting as “as concerned American Citizens, protesting the Fraud itself.”

It was then that Trump turned his focus on crowd size in the angry letter, complete with a full appendix of photos of the crowd in question, writing in all capital letters in his first line, “THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2020 WAS RIGGED AND STOLEN!”

It’s worth noting here that Donald Trump has made countless attempts at this point to legally challenge the results of the 2020 presidential election, and President Biden’s victory, and all have failed miserably. Even election security officials who were nominated or appointed to their position by Trump himself have declared the 2020 presidential election the “most secure in history.”

But nevertheless, the unhinged former president claims to have recommended and authorized “thousands of troops to be deployed to ensure that there was peace, safety, and security at the Capitol and throughout Washington, D.C., on January 6th because I knew, just based on instinct and what I was hearing, that the crowd coming to listen to my speech, and various others, would be a very big one, far bigger than anyone thought possible.”

“As it turns out, it was indeed one of the largest crowds I have ever spoken [at] before, a very wide swath stretching all the way back to the Washington Monument,” Trump raged. “The massive size of this crowd, and its meaning, has never been a subject of your Committee, nor has it been discussed by the Fake News Media that absolutely refuses to acknowledge, in any way, shape, or form, the magnitude of what was taking place.”
