Recently, a helicopter tragically crashed into a highrise building in New York City, leaving at least one dead. Instead of doing anything productive or useful, Trump did what he always does — ran to his Twitter account to offer up some half ass condolences. And per the usual, he made a complete ass out of himself once again when he proved that he has absolutely no idea how the federal government works.
In his tweet, Donald offered the assistance of the Trump administration in the aftermath of the crash. However, it seems he’s completely ignorant of the fact that by law, the federal government is already in charge of the accident, making his offer a moot point.
“I have been briefed on the helicopter crash in New York City. Phenomenal job by our GREAT First Responders who are currently on the scene. THANK YOU for all you do 24/7/365! The Trump Administration stands ready should you need anything at all,” Trump’s tweet read.

But the government was already doing just that, and they didn’t need Trump’s tweet to tell them to. Former NTSB board member John Goglia explained on MSNBC, “By law, the NTSB takes control of the accident site. And it’s considered to be an accident until the attorney general notifies the NTSB it’s a crime scene. So it’ll proceed as an accident until enough facts are discovered to change the status.”
The White House claimed that Trump was briefed on the crash, but we all know that means Trump just caught it on the television as he ate his Big Mac.
This was all just an attempt to make Donald appear like the Big Man™, calling all the shots, giving all the orders, and worthy of all the praise. But really, he’s just his typical old blowhard self, running his mouth about shit that he actually has absolutely nothing to do with. Reminiscent of Mexico, much?
