Trump Responds To The Release Of AG Notes In Which He Urged Justice Officials To Declare Election As “Corrupt”

We knew this was coming.

Yesterday, a bombshell New York Times report revealed the extent to which now-ex-president Donald Trump went to try to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election after his brutal loss to now-President Joe Biden.

According to the report, the United States Justice Department turned over notes to the House Oversight and Reform Committee, the entity that is currently investigating Trump’s attempts to unlawfully overthrow the 2020 presidential election, and the Committee then released those documents to the public.

At one point, it’s alleged that Trump told the Justice Department, “Just say that the election was corrupt + leave the rest to me” as summarized by then-acting Attorney General Jeffrey A. Rosen’s deputy Richard P. Donoghue.

And now, as we’ve expected all along since the news broke yesterday, Trump has issued a trademarked, ridiculous response to the development.

This morning, Trump’s new spokesperson, Liz Harrington, tweeted out an image of an “official” response from the former guy in regard to the documents released by the House Oversight and Reform Committee yesterday. Frankly, it’s just as unhinged, manic, and cringe-inducing as we expected.

“The corrupt and highly partisan House Democrats who run the House Oversight Committee yesterday released documents—including court filings dealing with the rigged election of 2020—that they dishonestly described as attempting to overturn the election,” the statement from disgraced ex-president Trump begins.

“Our country has just suffered an incredibly corrupt Presidential Election, and it is time for Congress and others to investigate how such corruption was allowed to take place rather than investigating those that are exposing this massive fraud on the American People.” the statement concludes.

Was the crisis in Afghanistan surrounding the pull out of American Troops Biden's fault or Trump's fault?

I don’t know about you, but it seems to me that Trump grasps and understands how bad this looks for him and, at this point, he’s just doing and saying whatever he can think of to cover his own ass.
