I don’t know if Trump knows this, but you can speak through a mask. Many of us working in this pandemic are intimately familiar with that fact. Despite contracting the virus himself and becoming so ill that he had to be whisked away by helicopter a whole 8 miles to Walter Reed Medical Center, he still doesn’t take it seriously. It has been less than a month since he pulled through all thanks to expensive (and socialized) medical treatments.
Today he disrespected the virus and all those affected by it again in a major way. On the way out of a polling place in his new residence of Florida, the media caught a glimpse of Donald Trump, and at the time he was wearing a mask. The reporters were in utter disbelief that he was actually following CDC guidelines, but their hopes were quickly dashed as Trump ripped the mask off and started blathering.
Trump started to yell about the evils of unsolicited ballots and the evils of mailing in your vote once again, maskless, with no regard for the safety of the reporters what-so-ever. He then boasted about his incoming superspreader rallies. Three big ones, he bragged, despite the United States recently topping out at over 80,000 cases in a singular day.
Donald recently claimed there were no negative effects that come from his rallies, despite them having no social distancing and being mostly maskless, not to mention the disrespect to Herman Cain, who most likely contracted the virus while being maskless at one of his rallies.
Trump continues to pretend that this virus is going away, refusing to put forth any effort to actually do anything, instead letting hundreds of thousands of American lives be lost while he pretends to be Superman.
Watch him rip off his mask below:
