Donald Trump expects the Supreme Court to vote in his favor instead of ruling based on precedent and the Constitution.
The high court has dealt Trump several defeats recently, including a ruling preventing him from ending DACA and a ruling protecting LGBT employees from workplace discrimination.
It’s the latter ruling that Trump particularly objected to this week because one of his own appointees, Neil Gorsuch, authored the majority decision that the Civil Rights Act applies to the LGBT community.
“I was surprised, I was surprised,” Trump said during an interview with CBN. “Some people felt that it was a decision that they weren’t as surprised as I was. Yeah, I was surprised.”

Trump also lamented the number of cases that haven’t gone his way and appeared to demand that the court rule in his favor because he is president.
“Well, so far we’re not doing too well,” Trump whined. “Look: We’ve had a lot of losses, with a court that was supposed to be in our favor. This is just to show what it means.”
Trump then went on to fearmonger by claiming that if he isn’t re-elected the Supreme Court will wipe out religion and the anti-choice movement.
“We need – you know you’ll probably have a couple of more judges in the next four years,” Trump claimed. “It could even be more than that, it could be three or four. If you have a radical left group of judges, religion, I think will be almost wiped out in America. If you look at it, pro-life will be absolutely wiped out. So – If you have that happening, pro-life is going to be out, it’s going to be gone.”

The idea that Trump could place two or more justices on the Supreme Court is frightening. He doesn’t want justice, he wants loyalty — from a court that will enable his dictatorial aspirations. This is not how the Supreme Court works.
