Former President Donald Trump once again called on the House “unselect” committee to investigate his widely debunked claims of a rigged election even though his conspiracy theories have been shut down by numerous courts. The twice-impeached one-term President has repeatedly insisted that the actual insurrection took place on Election Day last year, and Jan. 6 resulted from a stolen election.
Trump asked, “Why isn’t the Unselect Committee of highly partisan political hacks investigating the CAUSE of the January 6th protest, which was the rigged Presidential Election of 2020?” and Americans answered because the former President was the cause of the deadly Jan. 6 riots. Trump also announced that he would be having a news conference on Jan. 6 at Mar-a-Lago, and falsely said that Jan. 6 was a “completely unarmed protest.”

Trump is scared. He knows that he’s about to be held accountable for once in his miserable life. The House select committee investigating the deadly Capitol riot has asked Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) to sit down for an interview voluntarily, CNN reports. This marks the first known effort by the panel to talk to a sitting lawmaker about helping the former President in his efforts to overturn the election.
