Trump Seems To Suggest That Trees “Can Explode” And Cause Fires As He Attempts To Explain Poor Forest Management During Briefing

You gotta be kidding me.

Trump has long been digging for an excuse for the wildfires that continue to break out in this country and around the world that doesn’t actually have anything to do with the real reason behind the massive fires — climate change.

Even with the majority of the US West coast up in flames for the nth time as we speak, Trump still isn’t about to admit that the dirty liberals might have been right all along and we really need to start taking better care of the planet we inhabit before there’s simply nothing left of it.

Instead, he prefers to find something else to blame it on — preferably something that he thinks will make the Democrats on the other side of the fence look bad in the process.

However, this is Donald Trump we’re talking about here, and let’s face it, he’s never really been good at this sort of thing.

As we’re all painfully aware, Donnie’s favorite excuse for the fires has always seemed to be those dirty forest floors that the crunchy liberal governors just refuse to clean the leaves off of. But, given that he’s been using that excuse for so long and it still doesn’t seem to be sticking, Trump appeared to add a little extra pizazz this afternoon during his briefing on the fires in California — this time appearing to blame it all on “exploding” trees.

“Trees fall down after a short period of time,” Trump began to explain, speaking with reporters as he headed off for the briefing. “They become very dry. They become really like a matchstick. And, you know, there’s no more water pouring through… And they just explode. They can explode.”

Think I’m joking? Take a look for yourself:

The man is literally willing to assert the notion of exploding trees rather than just admit that climate change exists.

Houston, we have a problem.
