Trump Sends Pence To Convey “His Deepest Sympathies” To The Families And Victims Of School Tragedy As He Remains Silent

Too scared to face the critics, Trump?

This morning, yet another mass shooting took place in the United States. A 16-year-old with a handgun opened fire on his classmates and teachers at Saugus High School in Santa Clarita, California.

So far, three students remain hospitalized for injuries sustained during the attack while two others, a 14-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl, have lost their lives.

“I hate to have Saugus be added to the names of Columbine, Parkland, Sandy Hook, but it’s a reality that affects us all throughout the nation,” Sherriff Alex Villanueva said of the tragedy.

And the fact of the matter is, this is America now. Our young, innocent children are subjected to life-altering active shooter drills on the regular, there have literally been more mass shootings just this year than there have been days this year — but yet, none of these facts, none of these tragedies have inspired Republican lawmakers in the Senate nor our sorry ass excuse for a “president” to actually do a damn thing about it.

In fact, as the shooting waged on, several Republican Senators were actively blocking gun control legislation on the Senate floor.

Perhaps that’s why Donald Trump is lying low and has instead sent out his right-hand man to do his dirty work.

Since news of the shooting broke this morning, Trump has not had a single word to say regarding the tragedy. Not even a single, obligatory “thoughts and prayers” can be found on his Twitter feed.

Instead, he continues to hunker down, away from the criticism and backlash that he certainly knows he’ll receive, and sent Pence forward to “convey” his “deepest sympathies” to those that are suffering as a result of his refusal to enact sensible gun laws.

“He [Trump] asked me to convey his deepest sympathies to the families of the victims and the entire Santa Clarita community,” said during a public speaking event with NASA employees this afternoon.

“I also spoke to LA County Sherriff Alex Villanueva,” Pence continued. “And I informed him that President Trump has directed the full resources of the federal government to support local law enforcement efforts as the investigation goes forward.”

“And let me say, on behalf of the president,” Pence continued to rattle on. “We commend the swift response of local law enforcement and school officials. They undoubtedly saved lives.”

Yea, thanks for that, Pence. But why don’t you tell that boss of yours to go ahead and show his face? Or can he not bear to, considering the blood of innocent children is on his hands once again?
