Trump Supporter Kanye West Claims The $68 Million Tax Refund He Received Is God’s Reward For Being A Christian

Yeah, it totally had nothing to do with that tax cut Trump gave to the rich.

Donald Trump’s supporters were really taken for a ride with the “president’s” scam in which the wealthy were gifted with a delicious tax cut. The 2017 tax law does not help the middle class at all, but the rich are reaping the rewards from it. Rich people like rapper Kanye West, for example. West joined The Late Late Show With James Corden for “Airpool” Karaoke Monday night and talked about how God rewarded him with a $68 million tax refund in 2019 for being a good Christian. Kanye’s new album is titled “Jesus Is King,” by the way.

Kanye West’s net worth is reportedly $240 million, but apparently, he’s not very good with money because the Trump-supporting rapper raked in millions, but somehow found himself in debt last year.

“God is using me to show off,” West said. “Last year I made $115 million and still ended up $35 million in debt. This year I looked up, and I just got $68 million returned to me on my tax returns.”

“People need to hear [from] someone that has been put into debt by the system, talk about these types of numbers now that they’re in service to Christ,” he continued.

West and his wealthy friends don’t need to thank God for that windfall. We’re pretty sure that Jesus slapped Him around some money changers, and, if Kanye read his Bible, he’d remember this quote: “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.”

Kanye received a $68 million refund from the IRS because Republicans, along with their “president,” suckered the rest of us poor slobs by using trickle-down rhetoric, and if you’re as old as I am, you’ll remember that it was a failed Reagan policy that didn’t — wait for it — trickle-down to the rest of us.

Because of Kanye’s outspoken support of Donald Trump, a senior pastor recently redirected his large donation from the celebrity to Morris Brown College. Pastor Jamal Bryant just couldn’t find it in himself to endorse West’s appalling statements or his endorsement of the “president.”

“Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God,” Jesus said.

Amen.
