Trump Tells Fox News “There Was Such Love At That Rally…The Love In The Air, I’ve Never Seen Anything Like It” When Referring To January 6th

On Sunday, Fox News host Maria Bartiromo allowed former President Donald Trump to continue to spread his Big Lie of a rigged election that Joe Biden won in both the electoral and popular vote. And Bartiromo did that even though Dominion Voting Systems filed a $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News in late March, arguing that the network, to boost faltering ratings, falsely claimed that the voting company had rigged the 2020 election.

That Big Lie led to the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, but to hear the twice-impeached one-term president tell it, it was a lovefest, and his supporters were “peaceful.” Trump told Bartiromo that he won the election in a “landslide,” even though President Biden got over 7 million more votes.

“There was a rally called,” he said. “It was called by people — patriots, and they asked me if I’d speak, and I did, and it was a very mild-mannered speech.”

“There was such love at that rally,” Trump insisted. “They were there for one reason: the rigged election. They felt the election was rigged, and that’s why they were there, and they were peaceful people; these were great people. The crowd was unbelievable. And I mentioned the word love. The love in the air, I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Watch:

Bartiromo also falsely said, “They continue to call this an armed insurrection, and yet no guns were seized.” That is a lie. It wasn’t just guns, but baseball bats, chemical sprays, a captured police officer’s riot shield, a crowbar, fire extinguishers, and a metal flagpole. Over 140 police officers were injured.

Trump described Ashli Babbitt, who was part of a mob trying to crawl through a broken window at the Capitol, as an “innocent, wonderful, incredible woman.”

“Who is the person who shot an innocent, wonderful, incredible woman?” Trump asked. “Who shot Ashli Babbitt? People want to know. And why?”

I can answer that question. Trump summoned the mob to march to the Capitol. Trump killed Ms. Babbitt. More than 535 individuals have been arrested so far for taking part in the Capitol riot after Donald Trump whipped the crowd into a frenzy.
