An eighth man was charged on Thursday for his alleged involvement in a plot to raid the Michigan state Capitol building in Lansing and kidnap Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D), and possibly assassinate her. The Michigan-based militia group, the Wolverine Watchmen, plotted to depose Michigan’s government and kidnap Whitmer violently, and there is a mountain of evidence against the domestic terrorists.
Of course, the president lashed out at Whitmer at his rally in the state Saturday, prompting repeated chants of “lock her up” from the crowd of lint-licking Trump supporters. Trump has repeatedly attacked Whitmer over her administration’s effort to slow the coronavirus spread, and he did it again today while being fully aware that she was the target of a deadly plot.
“Be careful of her and her attorney general because you know they’re like in charge of the ballot stuff,” Trump said during the MAGA rally in Muskegon, Michigan. “How the hell do I put my political and our country’s political life in the hands of a pure partisan like that?”
“They said she was threatened,” Trump said at one point. “And she blamed me.”

Whitmer responded on Twitter while Trump was still speaking at the rally.
“This is exactly the rhetoric that has put me, my family, and other government officials’ lives in danger while we try to save the lives of our fellow Americans,” she tweeted. “It needs to stop.

Trump just proved Whitner’s point by once again inciting violence by using dangerous rhetoric. Trump also called for schools to open even though his teenage son Barron recently tested positive for COVID-19. This president doesn’t care about anyone except for himself.
