Trump has made a serious mess out of what should have been a proud success for the United States military when ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed in a recent raid in Syria. However, as we all expected, Trump was quick as a whip in making it all about him.
Tweeting out the night before “something big just happened,” we all knew, as news of the tyrant’s death began to leak and swirl, that Trump would som be taking credit for something he deserved absolutely no credit for. And we damn sure were not wrong.
In his early morning press conference the next day, Donald wasted no time in patting himself on the back and giving a big ol’ shoutout to Russia before ever even making a mention of our Armed Forces who are the true heroes in this situation — despite the fact that he disparaged Americans for giving their praises to Obama rather than the military personnel back when Osama Bin Laden was killed.
Since then, Trump’s foolishness has been revealed over and over again. He bragged that Baghdadi went down “crying, whimpering, and screaming” during the raid — however, that’s since been disputed by a Pentagon official who says he has no idea where Trump got that information from. Add that to the fact that military officials are stating that Trump actually hindered the raid, rather than helping it and then he wound up busted for faking a photograph of him and his administration watching the raid — and, well, it’s all just turned into a clusterfuck. Much like everything else he’s involved in.

But instead of letting sleeping dogs lie and hoping that Americans somehow forget how stupid he truly is, Donnie just keeps pushing it.
A few days ago Trump released a photo of the Belgian Malinois that chased the ISIS leader into a dead-end tunnel where Baghdadi ultimately took his life. And now he’s taken to his Twitter account once again to tweet out a mock photo of himself, originally posted by the Daily Wire, awarding the animal with a doggy version of the Medal of Freedom.

While it’s clear that the photo is fake, Trump’s boundless ego is certainly real. He can’t even let this poor dog have his day without making it all about himself.
