Yesterday, Donald Trump participated in a White House reception meant to honor and celebrate Black History Month. However, he wasted no time in making it strikingly clear that his “heart” was nowhere near in the right place when he quickly turned to drop racial slurs during his remarks.
Trump, while he begrudgingly participates in things such as Black History Month, Martin Luther King Day, and “Blacks for Trump” rallies with the sole intent of garnering votes for himself among African American communities, has never been one to actually show any respect for anyone that’s not old, rich, and white or at least serves him a specific purpose such as his immigrant wife.
While Trump certainly didn’t have the balls to tell the audience full of people of color what he actually thinks and feels about this, he certainly couldn’t go an entire evening without throwing out some sort of racial slur — so he landed on Senator and Democratic presidential candidate, Elizabeth Warren, referring to her as “Pocahontas” during the event.
Of course, the National Congress of American Indians has already denounced Donald for using the racial slur against the 2020 hopeful in response to her claim to native ancestry. Explaining in a statement from NCAI CEO Kevin Allis: “For centuries Native people have endured such slurs – from ‘R*dskins’ to ‘Injuns’ to ‘savages’ – that the forces of racism and intolerance deploy to dehumanize our people, mock our cultures, and interfere with our inherent right to control our own lands and destinies. Not only does it disrespect Pocahontas’ legacy and life, it likens her name to a slur.”

But when has something like that ever stopped Trump from being a racist prick?
According to a White House pool report from the night of the event, Trump began his speech in a fairly acceptable manner, touching on a handful of huge accomplishments made by people of color. But it didn’t take long for that speech to veer into a MAGA rally, according to a report from The Independent.
He bragged about unemployment rates in black communities and whined that he doesn’t receive enough credit for “his” accomplishments.
He then went on to poke fun at one of Warren’s recent rallies, declaring that it had far fewer attendees than his bring in, and then referred to the Democratic candidate as “Pocahontas.”
I suppose it’s physically impossible for Donald Trump to just be a decent human being.
