The presidential election was over eight months ago, and Donald Trump still hasn’t conceded the race that he lost to Joe Biden in both the popular and electoral vote. The twice-impeached one-term president is so damaged that he incited the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection to stop the peaceful transition of power. So, it’s not surprising that Trump was reportedly enraged last year when then-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took to Twitter to congratulate President Joe Biden for winning the 2020 election.
Forward obtained an excerpt of Michael Wolff’s new book, titled “Landslide: The Final Days of the Trump Presidency,” and the author says that Trump didn’t take Netanayu’s tweet very well. In fact, the former president called it the “ultimate betrayal.”
“It was startling to aides, however much they were anticipating an eruption, that Trump’s wrath fell on Bibi Netanyahu,” Wolff writes, according to the outlet. “There was his belief that he had singularly done more for Israel than any American president — and that therefore he was owed. And now sold out.”
This is the tweet that bothered former President Bloaty McBatshit.
Congratulations @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris. Joe, we’ve had a long & warm personal relationship for nearly 40 years, and I know you as a great friend of Israel. I look forward to working with both of you to further strengthen the special alliance between the U.S. and Israel.

“According to Wolff, the outlet notes, ‘Trump told his aides that the tweet came before the ink was dry” and was an “ultimate betrayal.”’
According to Forward, Wolff writes in the book that is due to be published on July 13, and it’s already a #1 new release, “that Trump also complained about the lack of Jewish support he received in the 2020 election. Two exit polls showed Trump received the backing of 30% of American Jews, while a J Street-sponsored poll indicated his support was at 21%.”
And there is probably a good reason for that. The ‘Jews will not replace us’ president was sent packing for very good reasons. It’s almost as if Trump expected to be president for life. The former president did suggest that at rallies and on Twitter, after all.
