Just earlier today, we reported that, despite Trump’s claims of turning down multiple book deals, the five major publishing houses in the United States are refusing to even consider working with the disgraced ex-president, due not only to his “radioactive” behavior surrounding the infamous January 6th riot but also the fact that Donald’s incessant election lies would shape up to be a fact-checking nightmare.
Frankly, we knew it would only be a matter of time before the former president was blowing a stack over the reports and, wouldn’t you know, Donnie’s right on schedule.
Trump didn’t waste any time in firing back at the reports that I’m sure embarrassed the hell out of him.
In a statement he recently gave to POLITICO the ex-president doubled down on his claim that “two of the biggest and most prestigious publishing houses have made very substantial offers which I have rejected.”

Trump went on to add: “That doesn’t mean I won’t accept them sometime in the future, as I have started writing the book.”
Top publishers and editors with the “Big Five” publishing house in the nation also spoke with POLITICO and revealed that they’ve heard of no such book deals or offers. They even went so far as to add that they wouldn’t even be willing to work with the disgraced ex-president even if such a deal did exist.
Trump, of course, was not happy with this reporting, saying in his statement, “If my book will be the biggest of them all, and with 39 books written or being written about me, does anybody really believe that they are above making a lot of money?”
“Some of the biggest sleezebags [sic] on earth run these companies. No morals, no nothing, just the bottom line,” he went on to add.
Trump claimed that the publishers “sure wouldn’t admit it before the fact. But after the fact, they will stand by and say, ‘Let’s go.’”
Before he managed to become president, Donald Trump had published several books with the help of ghostwriters, including his infamous, Art Of The Deal. However, that doesn’t seem to make much difference to publishers nowadays, after Donald’s disastrous four years in office.
