Donald Trump is already absolutely desperate to hang on to his last shred of relevance and importance after his shameful departure from the White House in a deep, dark cloud of disgrace and election conspiracy theories; so much so that he’s recently reignited his God-awful MAGA rallies in an attempt to remain beloved and powerful after losing access to every single reputable social media platform from Twitter to Facebook and closing up shop on his bust of a blog in less than a month.

So, with all that being said, this particular news is really going to hit the former president right where it hurts.

Today, C-SPAN released their latest ranking of United States presidents, as deliberated and determined by numerous, prominent historians, and the news is less than flattering for the former guy.

Ultimately, historians ranked Donald Trump as the fourth worst president in the history of the United States of America. His position was so bad, in fact, that he actually ranked one spot below former President William Henry Harrison, who literally died just one month after taking office.

Only three former US presidents ranked lower on the list than ex-president Trump and those were Franklin Pierce, Andrew Johnson, and James Buchanan.

Andrea Johnson was the first US president to be impeached and Trump still beat him out with two impeachments under his belt by the time his single term was up. Buchanan, of course, went down in history as the guy that threw us headfirst into a Civil War; Trump wasn’t successful in his attempts to do so.

In addition to the overall ranking of America’s leadership, the historians broke down individual leadership characteristics, with Donald Trump ultimately ranked dead last in the moral authority department, under Richard Nixon who was the only US president to actually resign in the face of his impeachment. Quite literally, he ranked worse than Nixon.

The category of crisis management also saw Donald Trump towards the bottom of the list, no doubt as a result of his disastrous response to the COVID-19 pandemic that has claimed more than 600,000 American lives and altered the state of the nation for nearly two years.
