Donald Trump and his team literally lie about everything, from his inauguration crowd size to his Daytona 500 crowd size. Trump’s campaign manager, Brad Parscale, posted a tweet that featured a dramatic photo of Air Force One at the Daytona 500 with a huge crowd obviously in awe of the presidential plane and its occupant. And that did actually happen — in 2004, CNN’s Daniel Dale reports. The actual photo taken on Sunday showed quite a few empty MAGA seats in the stands.
The tweet was deleted after a few hours with social media users pointing out that the shot was from President George W. Bush’s visit to the NASCAR race in 2004, and had absolutely nothing to do with the former frozen steak salesman’s visit.
Parscale tweeted out the 2004 photo of Bush’s visit, which shows Air Force One rising above packed stands at the Daytona International Speedway, captioning it “.@realDonaldTrump won the #Daytona500 before the race even started.”
That image of Trump’s visit is as fake as his presidency. Jonathan Ferrey, who took the February 15, 2004 photo, responded to team Trump’s misuse of the image.

“I have a lot of talented colleagues photographing the Daytona 500 this year,” Ferrey told the news network. “I am unfortunately not there today, but apparently I won the Daytona 500 photography before the race even started.”

Parscale deleted the image after three hours and replaced it with this.

Trump’s NASCAR event was just another MAGA rally.
Trump’s spending my taxpayer dollars like it’s a loan from Deutsche Bank…

While conservatives love calling everything fake news, Ferrey’s 2004 photo is still featured on The Daily Wire with the title, “Trump Wows Daytona Speedway By Swooping Air Force One Over Race Crowd.”
