Trump’s Former Fixer Claims President Wanted To Inflate His Net Worth And Was Okay Leaving His Kids With Massive Tax Bill: “I’ll Be Dead, Let Them Deal With It”

How totally unsurprising.

The thing about narcissists is that they aren’t capable of empathy, or actually loving other people, even family members. They are good at manipulating them, though. Donald Trump is a malignant narcissist, and you don’t have to be in the mental health profession to realize that since he makes it all too obvious.

Trump’s former attorney and fixer Michael Cohen, appeared on MSNBC with host Alex Witt on Saturday and shared a story about how the president attempted to inflate his personal worth — but that would have ultimately resulted in leaving his children with a massive tax bill if he died. But the former reality show star turned president apparently didn’t care if he left a pile of debt on his children’s shoulders. Loyalty with Trump has always been a one-way street. Just ask Michael Cohen about that.

Cohen explained that his former boss would just come up with numbers — and inflating his worth over a billion dollars sounded more impressive — when he was with Cohen and Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg — and that would garner him favorable and fawning media coverage.

“I’ve told the story where one time I’m sitting in the office, and he basically went from $7 billion to being worth to $8 billion in under ten seconds,” Cohen told Witt. “First it was, ‘I wanted to show I have $7 billion.’ Then ‘I’m worth $7 billion’ before the conversation finished. It’s, ‘let’s make it $8 billion.”

“Now what we had to do, Allen and myself is go through all of the assets and see if we can’t manipulate the numbers,” Cohen continued. “Whatever we could do to increase it. The problem was: who were we fooling? We weren’t fooling anybody. Then Weisselberg said that may not be the smartest idea; we’ll have a tax bill we can’t deal with if you drop dead tomorrow, and that will be on the kids. He [Trump] said, ‘well, that’s okay. I’ll be dead, let them deal with it.’”

“That’s the callousness of Donald J. Trump,” he added.

Watch:

Trump’s children and wife probably already know that they should watch their backs with their father. He’s a vicious, uncaring, soulless human gasbag with a penchant for reveling in the pain of others. Unfortunately, though, Trump’s adult children appear to be much like their father.
