I guess being forced to pay back almost $13 million dollars in donations that resulted from a shady scam being run on his fundraising platform put a hell of a dent in things on the financial front for disgraced former president Donald Trump — because he appears to be resorting to some pretty desperate measures in an effort to get some cash flow moving.
According to a new report from the Daily Mail, ex-president Trump has allegedly designed a new, updated version of his infamous red MAGA hat (he claims to have designed it himself), and not only is he hawking the hell out of them, he’s also offering to sign the headwear for a small fee.
The announcement regarding the new hats came in a fundraising email sent to supporters through Trump’s campaign over the weekend.
The new hat design features “MAGA” in white letters that are edged in gold and are still placed on the customary Republican red hat. The old design featured the explanation for the acronym, “Make America Great Again” underneath the large “MAGA” lettering, but at this point, we’re assuming the acronym is so well known that an explanation is no longer necessary.

“I just designed our BRAND NEW MAGA Hat and I want YOU to have it,” the email reads, a copy of which was recently obtained by the New York Post. “You’ve always been one of my most LOYAL supporters, so I don’t want you to have just ANY hat… I want YOU to have the MAGA Hat that I personally HAND-SIGNED for YOU.”
“Our movement isn’t slowing down, in fact, it’s only speeding up. That’s why I wanted to design a NEW HAT for all of our best supporters,” the email goes on to state.
In addition to hawking the hat itself, the email offered supporters the additional option of a limited edition version of the headwear that feature’s Donald’s signature on the rim. This special edition version appears to cost at least $25, at minimum, with the email encourages buyers to give a donation of $25, $50, $100, or $250 for the signed version of the updated MAGA hat.
