Trump’s Is Reportedly Going To Lose A Presidential Perk At His Mar-A-Lago Club

Donald Trump is learning what life is like after exiting the White House, and it’s been rough for the former president since he’s used to everything being handed to him. Trump lost handily to President Biden, and because he incited an insurrection over that loss, he was impeached again. Then, of course, his Twitter account was taken away. After moving into his Florida resort, Mar-a-Lago, the town of Palm Beach has been looking into the legalities of Trump making a permanent residence at the fancy pants resort. And it looks like after Trump was evicted from the White House, he will be allowed to reside at Mar-a-Lago.

And now, according to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, Trump’s helipad is about to be demolished.

The Palm Beach Daily News reports that “Lake Park-based contractor Pyramid Builders of Palm Beach was hired for the demolition job, according to the town building permit. The cost will run an estimated $15,000.” Although, it’s not clear who has to pay for the cost or when it’s scheduled to take place. The Sun Sentinal reported at the time that Mar-a-Lago paid for it to be installed in 2017.

Trump as president, often stayed at his Florida club and moved there on Jan. 20 when he left the White House hours before President Joe Biden’s inauguration, apparently to avoid the ceremony. It wasn’t just Donald that refused to take part in a peaceful and dignified transition of power. Melania Trump refused to give the same courtesy to then-incoming first lady Jill Biden that Michelle Obama graciously extended to her. Melania refused to meet with Dr. Biden at the White House — which is a tradition.

As for the legalities of living at Mar-a-Lago, Trump had promised town officials through his attorney in 1993 that he wouldn’t live there, and now he’s living there. Well, he did tell over 30,000 lies while in office, so why stop now.
