It looks like ex-President Donald Trump’s beef with the far-Right political organization, Club for Growth, just hit a petty fever pitch after one board member of the organization went after the former guy’s long succession of failed marriages.

Lately, Trump’s political endorsements have become highly controversial among members of his own party — with his own former spokesperson recently speaking out and saying that the former guy’s erratic support for self-serving candidates could likely serve as the catalyst to weaken and defeat the ex-president before he gets another chance to run for office again.

Not long ago, we reported on the growing feud between Donald Trump and the ultra Right-wing Club for Growth, after New York Times’ Maggie Haberman reported that the ex-president had sent an extremely profane text message to the Conservative advocacy group, all because Club for Growth had continued to publicly support then-Republican Ohio Senate hopeful Josh Mandel, despite the fact that Trump had already publicly endorsed Mandel’s controversial opponent, “Hillbilly Elegy” author J.D. Vance.

Now, The Washington Post has published a new deep-dive piece on the ongoing and ever-mounting fight between the former Republican president and the ultra Right-wing group that he used to consider an ally, and just how exactly they got to a point where their beef is serving to upend the Republican campaign world.

Josh Dawsey and Isaac Arnsdorf reported for the Post, “David McIntosh, head of the influential conservative group the Club for Growth, used to fly on Air Force One, get personal shout-outs from Donald Trump and boast to friends about his access to the former president. Until recently, McIntosh would meet Trump at Mar-a-Lago to coordinate endorsements in Republican primaries and even urge others to leave races, and the Club for Growth backed up the decisions by spending millions of dollars on campaign ads.”

“Now McIntosh and Trump aren’t speaking, according to Trump advisers,” the report goes on to note. “People who have spoken to Trump say he regularly rails about the Club for Growth and the organization being disloyal.”

While the feud between the GOP political organization and number 45 got its start over the Mandel vs. Vance race, it seems they are continuing to clash over Donald Trump’s recent, and equally controversial, endorsement of TV personality Dr. Mehemet Oz in Pennsylvania.

Trump has previously said that he respected Club for Growth because “they fight very hard” — only to turn and bash the group for “spending millions and millions of dollars” against candidates he’s already endorsed, stating, “Maybe they’re trying to prove a point. So far it hasn’t worked.”

The Post reports that the far-Right group is quickly growing fed up with Donald’s behavior, with a source telling the publication, “McIntosh was told Trump doesn’t forget, watch your back. McIntosh’s response was, ‘I already talked to him, and we’re all good.'” However, another board member, Frayda Levin, blistered, “No one can explain Trump’s relationships, nor can his five ex-wives or whatever. You can quote me on that.”
