Look, we get it. It’s been a rough few weeks for Donald Trump — what with all the lawsuits and investigations, and pretty much non-stop court losses that have hammered him over the last month or so. But with court-ordered depositions right around the corner and not a single win in his pocket for quite some time, you would really think the guy would lay low and stay out of the spotlight, at least until things settled down a little. Frankly, that’s what pretty much any normal human being would do if they were dealing with the absolute dumpster fire the ex-president is.
But, Donald J. Trump never did know when to shut the hell up.
Instead of taking some time to do a little reflection, maybe get a little R&R, or at least map out a halfway solid plan to try to keep himself out of jail, Trump is instead taking the tactic of groveling to his supporters for some donations as he continues to try to fight back against the raging lawsuits, investigations, and non-stop, brutal court losses.
In a new email peddled to his base and paid for by the Save America JFC, a joint fundraising committee consisting of Trump’s Save America PAC and his Make America Great Again PAC, the former president stroked his supporters’ egos in an extremely bizarre way, as the mass fundraising email was described as a “Confidential Trump Message,” with the catchy subject line, “For YOUR EYES only.”
“President Trump has a TOP SECRET message for you,” the pandering email read. “This is official correspondence from the Office of the 45th President of the United States and is only being sent to a select few patriots. If you are not the intended recipient of this email, please delete it IMMEDIATELY.”

The email sent out to Trump’s base went on to claim that the “confidential video will EXPIRE any minute now” and urged a contribution to “unlock President Trump’s SECRET VIDEO MESSAGE.”
Screengrab of the email from the Trump’s fundraising committee:
The “confidential” video that supporters had to donate to be able to view was actually an announcement that Trump will be speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference. The “TOP SECRET,” pay-to-view video was actually already released last month.
President Donald Trump is the leader of the GOP.
The America First agenda that he championed is the future of the conservative movement.

Trump’s sketchy fundraising tactics have come under fire on more than one occasion, even by members of his own party.
A recent report from Axios stated, “Donald Trump’s spamming of Republican donors could kneecap party efforts to build a steady funding stream for future elections and compete with Democratic fundraising, top GOP officials are privately warning. The former president’s decision to bombard donors with numerous daily emails and texts is sucking up record sums. Four top GOP digital strategists tell Axios it’s also imperiling efforts to build a sustainable, grassroots base of financial support for anyone not named Trump.”
And, of course, Trump’s CPAC speeches have a tendency to be just as shady as his fundraising tactics, as even Fox News was forced to run a disclaimer during his last CPAC speech that essentially fact-checked the ex-president’s blatantly false claims about the 2020 presidential election in real-time:
