Trump’s Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany Reportedly Dismisses Mass Testing As “Nonsensical,” Though She Gets Tested Weekly

Here we are, three years into Donald Trump’s presidency, on our umpteenth press secretary of this administration, with a literal global pandemic on our hands.

Frankly, it seems like every time we think to ourselves, “This couldn’t possibly get any worse,” this administration says “Hold my beer.”

So far, Donald’s newest press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, seems to be fitting right in at the Trump White House and has quickly picked up on the “screw them, but I’m gonna take care of me” mantra that’s coming out of this administration from every angle.

Over the past few weeks, Trump has made it strikingly clear that he doesn’t care how many human lives it will cost, his precious economy is opening back up and we’re just going to have to deal with it.

Of course, Trump and his team are being regularly tested for the coronavirus to make sure they’re safe and protected throughout this catastrophe, all while the rest of us suffer from a serious lack of testing and proper treatment.

Among those who are receiving regular testing for the life-threatening virus is Trump’s newest talking head, according to a report from the New York Times.

“At the White House, Mr. Trump’s new press secretary, Kayleigh McEnany, reinforced the impression that administration officials were getting preferential treatment when she delivered her first news briefing on Friday — without a mask. She is among the group of senior officials tested weekly, as all assistants and deputy assistants to the president are, an official said on Friday. Aides who are lower in rank are tested based on how often they are in proximity to Mr. Trump,” the Times report reads.

So that’s why McEnany’s most recent declaration regarding testing for average Americans was particularly appalling.

During last night’s presser, the newest Trump Press Secretary declared mass coronavirus testing as “nonsensical” when questioned by a reporter regarding the subject in connection with the impending reopening.

“Kayleigh, we were just talking about masks.  You said, at Honeywell, that the President was told by the folks at Honeywell, as was the team, that they didn’t need to wear masks.  The reason he was told that was the people who would be interacting with him had all been tested and had been shown to be negative before that took place, I guess.  So the President had those circumstances.  Obviously, he’s the President.  But why shouldn’t all Americans who go back to work be able to get a test before they do to feel comfortable in their own work environment to be interacting with other individuals,” the reporter asked McEnany.

“Yeah, well, let’s dismiss a myth about tests right now.  If we tested every single American in this country at this moment, we’d have to retest them an hour later, and then an hour later after that.  Because at any moment, you could theoretically contract this virus.  So the notion that everyone needs to be tested is just simply nonsensical,” the Press Secretary replied.

Uhm… Okay, lady. As you continue to waste tests on yourself and everyone around the president on a regular basis. But whatever, right?
