It seems ex-President Donald Trump’s formerly upcoming Alabama rally has been kicked to the curb, at least for the time being, and rescheduled for a later date that might have a bit more convenience and shadiness behind it than the former guy and his people are letting on.
A new report from AL.com claims Donald Trump’s American Freedom Tour rally that was previously scheduled for June 18th in Birmingham, Alabama, has now been officially and somewhat suddenly canceled and rescheduled for July 9th, when it would be relocated to Mobile, Alabama.
An email from the American Freedom Tour read, “Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have been forced to postpone the event in Birmingham, Alabama. We are very sorry for any inconvenience. On June 18th, instead of Birmingham, we will be in Northern Mississippi, outside of Memphis. Also, we are expecting to be in Mobile, Alabama on July 9th.”
The organization doesn’t specify what venue will be used in Mobile, AL, but they do note that they are willing to provide some guests with upgraded tickets “closer to the stage, along with free lunch at the rescheduled Mobile event or a different rally that is being rescheduled near Memphis, Tennessee.

While the American Freedom Tour nor the ex-president have been very forthcoming as far as a reason for the abrupt cancellation AL.com’s Paul Gattis notes that the new, rescheduled date for the rally is conveniently after the state’s June 21 expected GOP Senate runoff. Given the timing, Gattis points out that it “would seem to strongly suggest no Trump endorsement” is coming down the pike from Donald Trump for GOP candidate Mike Durant or Katie Britt in the Alabama Senate race.
It seems a bit odd, honestly, given that the former guy has been passing those things out like hotcakes lately, with seemingly next to no strategy or even regard for what these unhinged and half-baked endorsements may very well do to his reputation and future political plans.
