Tucker Carlson Attempts To Defend Trump By Admitting POTUS Is A “Full-Blown BS Artist” And A Liar, But That’s Just Who He Is

Watching this clip made my brain hurt.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who recently said he’s cheering for Russia over the Ukraine conflict, called Donald Trump a “compulsive self-promoter” and a “full-blown BS artist” in defense of his “president” against negative media coverage during his show on Wednesday night. And somehow, Carlson, while calling out Trump’s lies, defended the “president” by saying, “that’s who he is.”

During a segment on Wednesday night’s edition of Tucker Carlson Tonight, the Fox News host noted a Washington Post article that counted Trump’s lies since taking office as being at more than 13,000 false claims. Carlson admitted that President Liar Pants does, in fact, lie.

Carlson brought up one of Trump’s most infamous lies that was easy to debunk and yet the “president” somehow went with the claim that the crowd at his inauguration was the bigliest of all time. If you recall, former press secretary Sean Spicer backed up Trump’s inauguration lie. It was a jaw-dropping moment since the rest of us could see the actual photos of the inauguration crowd size, but we were told not to believe what we see with our own eyes. There’s an Orwell quote about that.

“One of the reasons progressives say they hate Donald Trump is because he lies a lot,” Carlson said. “Trump, they’ll tell you, is a committed liar.”

“As the Post points out, the lying began at the inauguration,” Carlson continued. “Perhaps you remember this claim, which, at the time, deeply offended official Washington.”

“We’re not going to lie to you,” Carlson said. “That was untrue. The crowd at the 2017 inauguration was not the largest ever measured on the National Mall. Sorry, it wasn’t.”

“Why did the president claim it was? Well, because that’s who he is,” he continued. “Donald Trump is a salesman. He’s a talker. He’s a boaster, a booster, a compulsive self-promoter. At times, he’s a full-blown BS artist. If Trump hadn’t gotten rich in real estate, he could have made a fortune selling cars.”

The Fox News host then claimed that the left is actually concerned when Trump tells the truth.

“Is lying really the reason the left despises Donald Trump?” Carlson said. “Or could the real problem be, as is so often the case, the exact opposite of what they claim it is?”

“Truth is the real threat to their power,” Carlson said, then added that “there is an unspoken agreement among the people in charge of our country not to talk about what has happened to it.”

Liddle Tucker went on to reference some of “Trump Truths,” including when the “president” lashed out at Baltimore to claim that the city is “rodent-infested” and a “corrupt mess,” which the Fox host defended as being “undeniably true.”

“Let’s just agree that Trump is a racist liar and move on,” Carlson concluded. “And by the way, did you know he’s up to almost 14,000 lies by now? My gosh, what a bad person he is. Unlike us.”

OK, we could go on and on about Carlson’s ridiculously stupid argument that’s actually hard for me to process, probably because I’m a grown woman who can smell bullshit a mile away. The Fox host is literally telling us that it’s OK for the “president” of the United States to bullshit the public. That bullshit Carlson mentioned, is coming from Trump and his defenders. We’re looking at you, Tucker.
