Saturday marks 30 years since the fall of the wall that divided East and West Berlin, but meanwhile, the U.S. “president” has been trying to erect a vanity-wall. Mexico is not paying for Donald Trump’s wall, but military families are slated to pay for his ego-project. Proving yet again that the Trump “administration” is filled with the least self-aware people in the world, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday reminisced about the “horrific conditions” that had been endured by people who were cut off from the West by the Berlin Wall which was finally taken down in 1989.
As for “horrific conditions,’ migrant children are being ripped from their parents’ arms at the Southern border.
“I’m so proud speaking mere feet from where the wall once stood to celebrate its demise now three decades ago,” Pompeo said at the Koerber Global Leaders Dialogue event in Berlin on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the Berlin Wall’s demise.

Twitter users noted the hypocrisy.
Wait, so walls are bad? I’m confused.

“And, speaking of, is there a lot or warehouse somewhere nearby that sells reclaimed materials from the wall at a discount? Asking for my boss.”

Mike Pompeo speaking about how walls are cruel is like watching a shark say the sight of blood makes it faint. https://t.co/13zpE4CE8D

While Trump tries to build one that can be cut through with $100 saw from Lowe's...the irony

Simply put:
Irony is dead. Fuck this prick.

Adding to the irony of it all, Pompeo unveiled a bronze statue of former President Ronald Reagan in Berlin in honor of Reagan calling on Mikhail Gorbachev to "tear down this wall!"
We're sure Trump supporters are celebrating the anniversary of the Berlin Wall's demise today without one bit of irony.
