Trump and his administration have been doing their best to convince the public that the deadly outbreak of the coronavirus is simply nothing to worry about. However, despite how important they think they are, they simply don’t have the ability to actually make it go away.
No matter how much money or clout you have, you can’t simply pretend things away. Just because you ignore it doesn’t make it any less so. And it seems that a few key members of Donald Trump’s administration may soon be learning that the hard way when it comes to COVID-19.
Trump’s pick for coronavirus czar (which translates to nothing more than a scapegoat for when things inevitably go to hell) Mike Pence, whose entire plan to combat the illness seems to boil down to praying it away Indiana-style, has already found himself exposed to the fatal novel virus that’s sweeping the globe once now — when he attended a fundraiser at a military academy just days before a student and his mother was quarantined.
And now it seems that his prayer pow-wows are unsurprisingly proving themselves futile as he’s once again found himself exposed to the illness he and his boss are doing their best to ignore, this time with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in tow.

“We have confirmed that at least two Policy Conference attendees from New York have tested positive for the coronavirus,” the tweet from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee read.

This means that, once again, members of Trump’s administration have been exposed to the virus they’re claiming is “no big deal.”
Something tells me Pence will be a whole lot more diligent about getting those tests in when it comes to himself.
