There is a lot going on in this country right now. And I do mean a lot.

A deadly pandemic is still raging from coast to coast, with more than 150,000 lives lost in the United States alone. This year’s presidential election is creeping closer and closer with each passing day, and all the polls are predicting a pretty serious loss for Donald Trump — which has ultimately led to the thing we’ve feared but expected the most since that fateful inauguration day nearly four years ago: Trump is trying to steal the election and strip Americans of their democratic right by suggesting a “delay” for the election because he doesn’t trust mail-in votes.

Not to mention the fact that brown kids are still being ripped from their parents’ arms and indefinitely locked in cages at our southern border, Trump is still dismantling everything that was ever just and good about this country at every given opportunity, and committing treason in broad daylight every chance he gets.

I mean it, things are a complete and total mess.

It’s easy to get lost in it all, really.

But with Donald Trump still living it up in the People’s House, it’s important that we don’t forget one of the biggest and longest-running problems this country has ever faced.

From one coast of this country to the other, protests and demonstrations are still raging against police brutality and systemic racism in the United States.

And Donald Trump hates it.

He hates the protests and he hates the demonstrations. He hates the soccer moms in bicycle helmets and the dads with leafblowers and the veterans who can’t stand to see this country carry on in this manner for even one more second.

And perhaps above all else, he hates the kneeling.

In the wake of the recent protests against the murders of black men and women, the movement that Colin Kaepernick started what feels like so long ago has not only been reinvigorated, it’s grown to epic proportions.

As sports start to kick back off in the country, players are putting their foot down and showing Donald Trump that they will not back down.

And the NBA is going to be no exception to that.

Today, the New Orleans Pelicans and Utah Jazz face off in the first game of the NBA season. And Donald Trump is sure to lose his mind on Twitter very soon when he sees that players from both teams not only took a knee in silent protest against police brutality in the US, they did so with “Black Lives Matter” t-shirts on.

Take a look:

It’s time someone informed the President that this country is not backing down. We will not be quiet. We will not be silenced. Enough is enough. We will protest. We will demonstrate. We will kneel. Until we see justice.
