Yesterday, we reported on Texas Congressman Tony Gonzales’, who actually represents the area in which the catastrophic elementary school shooting took place, disgusting tone-deaf tweet in the wake of 21 human beings being mass murdered at the hands of an unhinged gunman with an assault rifle at Robb Elementary School.

A total of 19 of those victims were children between the ages of 7 and 9, with the other 2 being teachers who sacrificed their own lives in an effort to save the children they loved and educated every day.

Gonzales did what any good gun-loving Republican would do, taking straight to Twitter with his empty thoughts and prayers and even wrapped things up with one of the most disgusting Bible verses he could have possibly chosen under the circumstances, as he quoted Matthew 19:14:

Jesus said ‘Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Let us pray together.

Political Tribune attempted to get in touch with Gonzales several times for a statement on his tweets, but the congressman did not return our calls.

It seems, instead, he was busy going on Fox News to make a bad situation worse.

Former federal prosecutor, popular Twitter user, and staunch Republican critic Ron Filipkowski took to Twitter with a clip of Gonzales’ appearance on Fox News on the heels of the Texas mass murder.

In the segment, the TX representative literally said, “The root of a lot of these issues is mental health, and this has been the case for a long time .. covid certainly didn’t help.”

Allow me to remind you, that this is the same man who took to Twitter last year to brag about opposing two different gun control measures in the House and vowing to “do everything I can to oppose gun grabs from the far Left.”

Tell that to the parents of 19 dead children, Tony. I dare you.
