For the longest time, it seemed as though the GOP would never be made up of anything more than rich, old, white men. And, for the most part, that’s certainly still the case. However, as time marches on and the internalized misogyny grows deeper and deeper, the unfortunate truth is that many women are now making their way into prominent places within the Republican party. Now, typically speaking, women finally getting an edge in when it comes to things like politics is usually a damn good thing. Hell, it’s 2021 and we still don’t have the voice and the presence that we deserve.
However, it’s pretty counteractive to the women’s rights cause when some of those women have misogyny so deeply ingrained and internalized that it’s part of their DNA now — i.e. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Elise Stefanik.
And that brings me one of the biggest female, Republican nutcases out there in Congress today, Lauren Boebert.
Where these women get their starts, I don’t know, but it seems they always end up turning out the living, breathing epitome of a “Karen” — which is what got Boebert trending this morning when video footage of her, well, being a Karen surfaced and began to circulate:
With permission from the restaurant across from Shooter’s Grill, we began filming interviews and exterior footage for my website, https://t.co/zjr5H9soIR. After @LaurenBoebert began yelling at us from across the street, we decided to pack up. She then followed us to our car… pic.twitter.com/jPtkkmPMEH

But as is pretty customary with these people that, of course, wasn’t where Boebert’s “fame” ended today.
The GOP nutcase was a speaker at tonight’s leg of the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and she seemingly used the event to let us all know that this morning’s “Karen” fiasco wasn’t a one-off thing. She really is just that insane.
I’d love to be able to tell you what GOP talking points the Republican House Representative was rambling on about this afternoon. But, frankly, all I could really gather out of the speech that was supposed to be about “First Amendment Freedom of Assembly” was some barely coherent nonsense about guns and a whole lot of screaming. Like, seriously, so much screaming it makes me wonder if she’s trying to out-do Don Jr.’s big-mouthed girlfriend.
See for yourself:
I listened to Lauren Boebert’s entire speech, which was supposed to be about ‘First Amendment Freedom of Assembly.’ Instead, I heard a lot about guns, and this screaming conclusion where I have absolutely no idea what she is talking about. pic.twitter.com/4goG06bud6

Yea. Twitter wasn’t impressed either:
If you watch it with the sound off it’s like she performing a Britney tune.

She’s such a good role model – the amount of kids she’s scaring into getting a good education so they don’t end up like her is phenomenal.

She went to the Kimberly Guilfoyle school of screaming on stage.

Why is she dressed for a yard sale?

It’s like a little Kimberly Golfoiled, the way it moves, minus spins? Maybe it’s practicing? I never listen to any words out of this waste of oxygen, just going by the movement, and know her platform is “Im miss guns USA centerfoiled, my bbq cures constipation, and I’m IQ!

that topic had too many words and big concepts for her to process so she devolved into yelling random words pic.twitter.com/GeFTqgJLdz

It’s almost like these people scream and yell when they have no idea what they’re talking about…
