University of Alabama Students Already Staging Campus Protests Ahead Of Trump’s Visit: “I Hate Trump More Than Auburn”

They're not wasting any time!

Donald Trump is slated to attend a football game at the University of Alabama this afternoon between the U of A Crimson Tides and LSU.

Now, as I am sure you can recall, Donald’s recent public appearances haven’t worked out so well for him. He turned down the traditional first pitch during Game 5 of the World Series and even slipped in late with a posse of the worst human scum he could dig up, no doubt in hopes that he’d avoid a public display of dislike at his expense. However, he had no such luck, as the huge crowd broke out in rambunctious boos and chants of “Lock him up!” the moment his arrival was announced and his face was displayed on the Jumbotron.

He tried again when he attended Ultimate Fighting Championship 244 at Madison Square Garden for the UFC welterweight fight between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz — an event that you would’ve thought was chock full of his kind of people. But yet again, no such luck.

Donnie found himself booed again in the span of just a few days by the crowd gathered at the UFC event.

When it comes to tonight’s football game at the University of Alabama, it seems that the school is doing all they can to ensure that Donald doesn’t find himself quite so embarrassed for a third time by issuing a warning to their students — if you make a scene tonight, you’re going to lose your preferred seating for the year.

Now, the school has claimed that their decision to issue the students this warning has nothing to do with politics. However, that didn’t stop Trump from retweeting the letter and making it look as though it was a personal favor to him.

And that letter did nothing to stop a group of students from pushing the envelope and staging protests on the steps of the university’s Gorgas Library today.

The demonstration was organized by UA student Tori Jones who stated that Trump’s visit will put “all of our student body at risk” and that Donald “brings with him a culture of systemic racism.”

The signs held by students during the sit-in read:  “Love Trumps Hate,” “No Jobs on a Dead Planet,” “Resist,” “Impeach,” “Trump is Racist,” “Hate Not Welcome” and “I Hate Trump More than Auburn.”

The group also set up shop relatively close to where ESPN had their “College GameDay” set, but Jones said they were actually met with minimal push-back.

“It went pretty well,” Jones explained via text message. “There were maybe three people who yelled out ‘Trump 2020,’ but most of the people were there taking pictures of us or giving us vocal support.”

“I organized this sit-in to protest the arrival of Donald Trump to our university. Trump gave the University of Alabama little notice he was coming, putting all of our student body at risk. Moreover, Donald Trump also brings with him a culture of systemic racism,” Jones said in her full statement on behalf of the Student Justice Coalition.

“While systemic racism exists at the University of Alabama, Trump only exacerbates the problem. The SCJC and I did not feel as though we should stand back and do nothing as this man came to our campus. This sit-in was to demonstrate not only our discontentment with Trump, but also our discontentment with the culture at UA that allows him to feel comfortable coming here at all.”

Something tells me this game isn’t going to go as smoothly as Donald hopes.
