Six hundred ninety-one individuals were charged for their participation in the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Approximately 140 police officers were assaulted by the mob of Trump supporters. However, Republicans have downplayed the severity of the attack that led to former President Donald Trump’s second impeachment. According to one report, less than 40 rioters are still in custody. To hear Trump supporters tell it, the jailed rioters are the victims in all of this.

Like MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and disgraced former national security adviser Michael Flynn, for example, who sang the National Anthem virtually with the accused insurrectionists. Lindell and Flynn led the crowd of people to sing the Star-Spangled Banner, which is weird.

Watch:

Controversial Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Louie Gohmert recently visited the DC prison. The Georgia Republican bizarrely told former Trump adviser Steve Bannon that the jailed rioters are “political prisoners” who sing the national anthem every night at 9:00 pm while crying.

As we reported earlier today, when Trump was interviewed in March with ABC’s Jonathan Karl, the former president called Jan. 6, the day of the deadly insurrection, “a very beautiful time,” according to Karl’s new bestselling book, ‘Betrayal: The Final Act of the Trump Show.’ The twice-impeached one-term president and his supporters would like everyone to move on as if nothing happened, even though they attempted to overturn the election.

The pillow salesman is being sued by Dominion Voting Systems for defamation. As for Michael Flynn, he was pardoned by Trump despite his former national security adviser pleading guilty twice in the Russia probe. So, they’re in the right company with the jailed rioters. Birds of a feather, etc.
