Former President Donald Trump sat down for a 4-hour long deposition under oath for a lawsuit that alleges that the Trump Tower security team attacked and assaulted some activists during an immigration protest in 2015 after he called immigrants rapists and murderers. The twice-impeached one-term president responded in a statement to call the deposition “baseless harassment of your favorite president.”
Trump supporters love the new “Let’s go Brandon” chant that is a euphemism for “f*ck Joe Biden,” but angry New Yorkers hurled expletives at the twice-impeached one-term president after he finished giving the deposition. There were some cheers, but multiple people shouted ‘F*ck you!” to the former president. Bloomberg captured the video.

New Yorkers have been on to Trump for a long time, which is probably why he left the state. New Yorkers can spot a con from a mile away, and the people in the Big Apple don’t embrace even the former president’s family members. Trump divided this country, and he incited the deadly Jan. 6 insurrection, so Americans aren’t exactly feeling much love for the former president. Trump would literally burn this country down rather than admit that Joe Biden defeated him in the popular and electoral vote.
As for the deposition, the plaintiffs’ lawyer in the lawsuit, Benjamin Dictor, said that the former president was questioned on a variety of topics, including comments he’s made at campaign rallies in which he appeared to encourage security personnel to treat protesters harshly, Bloomberg reports. Ah, that sounds like Trump is learning a new word: consequences. The former president is a defendant in the lawsuit, as well as his company, the Trump Organization, his presidential campaign, and security personnel.
I’d like it if this country was at a better place with political discourse, but Trump created this mess, so it’s going to have to play out.
