Watch As Dem Lawmaker Responds To Don Jr.’s Criticism Of His “Hearsay” Comments: “I’m Sure Don’s Done A Lot Of Trials”

Junior should really limit his advice to tips on having a corrupt daddy. Leave the law to the experts, dude.

The entire Trump posse, his children and members of his administration alike — which, let’s be honest, are one and the same — have been desperately grasping at straws in an attempt to get their daddy/boss out of the boiling hot water he’s landed himself in after he was busted by a whistleblower for attempting to extort a foreign country for his own personal gain.

Considering House Democrats pretty quickly picked up a formal impeachment inquiry over the scandal and have been steamrolling the proceedings since, with several key witnesses corroborating the whistleblower’s allegations and then some, it only makes sense that they’re searching for even the tiniest of technicalities.

One of the biggest champions of this GOP effort is none other than fuckwit supreme and eldest child of Trump, Donald Trump Jr.

After a long day of public impeachment hearings yesterday, Junior took to his Twitter account, in true Trump fashion, to disparage one of the Democratic members of the Committee who made a statement regarding hearsay evidence.

“Imagine any other time in history where the media would not be all over this clown for saying something as stupid as this?” Junior’s tweet read, captioning a video of Democratic Rep. Mark Quigley stating, “Hearsay can be much better evidence than direct … and it’s certainly valid in this instance.”

Of course, this particular portion of the hearings got the MAGA crowd all sorts of riled up — I suppose they’re once again choosing to ignore the part where Trump is guilty.

However, the subject of Junior’s little Twitter outburst himself was quick to respond to DJ’s opinion of his statement.

Former trial lawyer turned Democratic lawmaker Rep. Mike Quigley sat down with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and issued a blistering response to the eldest Trump spawn: Stay in your lane.

“Alright, so among others, Donald Trump Jr. was tweeting this morning saying basically you’re wrong — you don’t know what you’re talking about. I want you to explain your point: why is hearsay evidence better than direct evidence?” Blitzer questioned the Democratic Rep.

“Well, first, I’m sure Don’s done a lot of trials in his life,” Quigley responded with a smirk. “I’ve done probably over 200. So I might know what I’m talking about.”

“The first message is this: if you don’t like the testimony, if you don’t like the evidence, quit blocking what everyone imagined would be much more direct evidence,” the former trial lawyer and victim of Junior’s outburst stated. “Mick Mulvaney, blocked. John Bolton, blocked. Rick Perry — their testimony is blocked. So don’t complain that the evidence isn’t direct enough when you are blocking what would, obviously, be more direct evidence.”

Quigley then wrapped things up with one final, fiery dig at the eldest Trump child, “As far as the rules of evidence, they are not going to apply in proceedings like this. But the federal rules of evidence — which I’m sure Don knows so much about — create 23 exceptions to the hearsay rule.”

When you have a law degree and Congressional experience, you can pipe up, Junior. Until then, take all the seats. And P.S. anything from Trump University doesn’t count.
