In case you haven’t noticed, a whole slew of members of the Grand Old Party are scrambling around with their heads up their behinds, wondering just what in the hell to do with themselves now after their Dear Leader’s supporters violently stormed and temporarily overtook the nation’s Capitol yesterday — wreaking havoc and damage all across the People’s House, stealing, looting, shooting and causing a shelter in place and ultimate evacuation for all members of Congress. All because their candidate lost the election and they’re still really, super butthurt about it.
In a matter of just over 24-hours, several members of the Republican party have resigned from the various posts in the American government, including but not limited to Melania Trump’s Chief of Staff Stephanie Grisham, and even newly-demoted Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s wife Elaine Chao.
But when it comes to the certified-southern-fried chicken shit himself, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, he seems to have taken the run-around approach to yesterday’s disaster as well as Donald Trump part it in it all — after he spent literal months all but encouraging just exactly what happened.
Graham has been wishy-washy, at best, when it comes to what he’s had to say about yesterday’s events and the fact they’re all a result of Donald Trump’s behavior. He made as much clear today during a press briefing, in which he seemed to sort of touch on his old comments about Trump when he said that Donald has “changed my opinion of who he was through his actions.” One reporter who was present during the briefing wasn’t about to let him get away with that.

The unidentified reporter interrupted Graham and said, “yesterday though, he helped incite a mobbed riot.”
To which Graham responded with a watery “just let me get there” before going on to further praise Donald Trump, stating, “He’s done tremendous things for this country.”

I hope you’ve come to realize, Graham, that we will no longer be taking a back seat when it comes to holding you accountable for your bullshit.
