Watch Congressman Who Is Also A Marine Get Choked Up While Apologizing To Troops For Donald Trump: “I’m So Sorry This Man Is Your President”

This is absolutely heartbreaking.

If the reports that are currently circulating all across social media and throughout every reputable news source from here to Kingdom Come contain even a shred of truth or legitimacy — Donald Trump, the current president of the United States, has committed treason. In a BIG sort of way.

And considering the original bombshell report came from somewhere as reputable as the New York Times, frankly, there’s a damn good chance that it’s as serious as a heart attack.

We’ve known for some time now that Donald Trump has enjoyed a relationship with Russia, specifically Russia’s leader Vladimir Putin, of which we should all be leery. Hell, it was even proven that the foreign country did, in fact, meddle in the United States 2016 election in an attempt to help get Trump elected to the presidency.

However, I don’t know if any of us were quite prepared for the reports that began pouring out yesterday, alleging that Russia was offering large bounties in exchange for the killings of American soldiers — all while this nation’s “leader” stood idly by, with knowledge of the situation, doing nothing.

Because it’s Donald Trump. And that’s what Donald Trump does.

Today, MSNBC’s Lindsey Reiser interviewed Rep. Ruben Gallego — who has also served in the United States Marine Corps — and took the opportunity to get his thoughts and feelings on the absolutely gut-churning reports regarding Trump, Russia, and bounties on American soldiers’ heads.

“You’re a veteran, what’s your reaction to this?” the MSNBC host asked Gallego.

“It’s heartbreaking,” the Marine veteran replied.

“I remember being a young guy in Iraq, sometimes feeling abandoned by my government. And right now, there’s a young man or woman in Afghanistan that’s reading this and what are they feeling?” he explained. “Their own president is hanging them out to dry for some reason, some obsession for Putin.”

“I want to apologize to all of our members of the military, I’m so sorry this man is your president,” a clearly emotional Gallego stated. “This is not how it should be.”

Folks, November simply cannot get here soon enough.
