Watch Fauci Appear To Facepalm As Trump Rants About “Deep State Department”

One of the bright spots of President Donald Trump’s gazillionth coronavirus press conference on Friday was Dr. Anthony Fauci’s reaction to something stupid the President said while talking about Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

During the presser, Trump referred to the State Department as the “Deep State Department” in response to a question about Pompeo.

“I’d like him to go back to the State Department — or as they call it, the Deep State Department — and do his job,” Trump said.

The remark, just like everything else Trump said, did not inspire confidence that he’s taking this pandemic seriously. And the markets once again sank. Even Fauci, the National Institutes of Health infectious disease expert, couldn’t help but facepalm despite warnings to the public not to touch their faces.

Trump inappropriately insulted the State Department yet again in the midst of a crisis and a clearly embarrassed and uncomfortable Fauci could only put his hand over his face to suppress a laugh at the bumbling idiot who is supposed to somehow get our nation through this difficult time.

As such, the Internet expressed amusement.

Now all that’s left is to wait for Trump to throw a temper tantrum.
