Watch Fox News Host Defend Trump’s Actions In Iran: “I Don’t Care About Iranian Cultural Sites”

What an absolute f*ckhead.

Iran’s regime is pretty shitty, stifling, and oppressive, but there are a lot of actual people there that would like their government to be overthrown. Now, as fucked up as the Mullahs are, and even though an adviser to Iran hinted at targeting Donald Trump’s properties, they’ve also made it clear that their beef isn’t with the American people. The “sole problem is Trump,” said an advisor to Iran’s Rouhani, Hesameddin Ashena. Trump and his sycophantic supporters seem to think to target Iran’s cultural sites is a great idea, even though in addition to being a war crime, it targets the Iranian people.

Petty, petulant potentate Donald Trump doubled down on his rhetoric of targeting Iran’s cultural sites while on Air Force One while returning from his holiday at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. “They’re allowed to kill our people. They’re allowed to torture and maim our people. They’re allowed to use roadside bombs and blow up our people,” he said. “And we’re not allowed to touch their cultural sites. It doesn’t work that way.”

And just like that, Fox News host Pete Hegseth defended Trump by saying, “I don’t care about Iranian cultural sites.”

“Fifty-two sites, one which could be cultural. By the way, I don’t care about Iranian cultural sites, and I’ll tell you why,” the firebreathing, lint-licking Fox host said. ‘”If you understand the Islamic Republic of Iran, of Islamists, if they could come–if they had the power, they would destroy every single one of our cultural sites and build a mosque on top of it. If you don’t understand the nature of our enemy, you are foolish about who you are pointing out, and whether or not you are happy that Soleimani is dead,” Hegseth told his fellow hosts after Juan Williams pointed out that his “president” had threatened sites important to “Iranian culture.”

“This guy exported terrorism for 40 years and the fact Democrats in this country can’t take a pause to say ‘this is a good thing,’ not ‘let’s figure out how to prevent and the Iranian bomb,’ they go straight to politics and it’s shameful,” Hegseth added.

Watch:

So, Pete wants to act like ISIS and use the terrorist group’s tactics to defend Trump for wanting to do precisely what they do. The reason it’s called a war crime, you absolute walnut, is that in late May 2015, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously passed a resolution, initiated by Germany and Iraq and sponsored by 91 UN member states, stating that ISIS’s destruction of cultural heritage may amount to a war crime. And now it’s 2020 and Trump and his moronic supporters want to do the awful things ISIS did that prompted that resolution.

Hegseth, by the way, privately lobbied Trump to pardon several accused war criminals and given his disgusting words today, it’s not surprising. Conservatives defended Confederate statues, too, from being moved into museums, because it’s “about heritage” but they are awkwardly silent over destroying another nation’s cultural sites.
