The House Judiciary Committee resumed debates on two articles of impeachment against Donald Trump on Thursday morning ahead of final votes that are expected later in the day. Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) fired a shot, and Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga) wasn’t having any of it.
Johnson calmly and in the nicest way possibly — something that is beneath Donald Trump’s top defenders — said that possibly Gaetz bringing up Hunter Biden’s past substance abuse problems isn’t in his best interests.
Gaetz has been arrested for at least one DUI in the past. In 2008, Rep. Drunky McDrunkerson was arrested on suspicion of DUI while he was driving home from a nightclub and was pulled over for driving 48 in a 35 mile-per-hour zone. Liddle Matt was driving in a vehicle that belonged to his father, State Senator Don Gaetz, at the time of the arrest.
Johnson said to Gaetz during the House panel debates on the articles of impeachment that “the pot calling the kettle black is not something we should do. I don’t know which members if any … have been busted in DUI.”

Gaetz looked as if he was being scolded by his father in the middle of the impeachment hearings. I’ll tell you what, Rep. Gaetz, let’s vote to impeach Hunter Biden and Donald Trump, OK?
Hunter Biden’s past is the new “Hillary Clinton’s emails.” What next, Republicans? I know, bring up adultery during the hearings. Oh, wait, you did.
