White House Reportedly Dropping Around $127K On “Inaugural Cleaning” Before Biden Moves In

It's gonna need it!

To say that Donald Trump and his administration have been careless with their approach to the coronavirus pandemic would be the understatement of the decade. He and his people have been downright neglectful of the people of this nation they were sworn to protect and their struggles and losses that have come as a direct result of his incompetence and irresponsibility.

So neglectful, incompetent, and irresponsible, in fact, that that virus has been allowed to run virtually rampant and unchecked throughout his own administration and social circles due to their refusal to follow guidelines and restrictions laid out by real medical professionals; to the point that even Trump himself suffered through what seemed to be a rather nasty bout with the potentially fatal illness.

Long story short, it’s been clear since day one that Donald Trump didn’t and doesn’t give a damn what sort of havoc this pandemic wreaks on this country, nor will he go out of his way to stop it.

With all that being said, a report from POLITICO now indicates that President-Elect Joe Biden and his team actually have a plan ready to combat Trump’s carelessness with a deadly virus inside the walls of the White House itself.

Spoiler alert: It involves a lot of disinfectants.

According to the report, the Biden transition team plans to have the White House cleaned from top to bottom by the General Services Administration (GSA) staff just mere hours after Donald Trump departs the dwelling.

Speaking with POLITICO a GSA spokesperson said that staffers will “thoroughly clean and disinfect” all areas of both the East and West Wings that experience high traffic and are regularly touched — including but not limited to furniture and doorknobs.

In addition to the GSA’s cleaning plans, the report claims that a private contractor will provide “disinfectant misting services.”

A COVID-19 advisor for Biden, Nicole Lurie, spoke with the publication and said that the operation will be “the polar opposite of what you’re seeing now.”

“I think the social penalties for non-mask wearing will be great,” Laurie said. “Instead of people being ridiculed for wearing masks, they’ll be pressured in the other direction.”

Now, TMZ reports:

We’ve learned The White House is dropping a little over $127,000 on what’s listed as ‘Inaugural Cleaning.’ It’s a deeper clean than most transitions, what with the pandemic and Trump’s bout with COVID and all.”

We weren’t really kidding when we said Joe would have to fumigate the place.
