White House Responds To Criticism Over Trump’s Attacks On Greta Thunberg: She “Travels The World Giving Speeches”

Raise the bar, Mr. Trump.

White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham defended Donald Trump on Friday after he lashed out on Twitter at teenage climate activist Greta Thunberg by saying that she “travels the world giving speeches.” The “president” was a finalist for Time magazine’s Person of the Year, but the 16-year-old Swedish activist, who has Asperger’s syndrome, won the award. Trump and his son Donny Jr. just couldn’t handle it.

“So ridiculous,” Trump tweeted. “Greta must work on her Anger Management problem, then go to a good old fashioned movie with a friend! Chill Greta, Chill!”

The president’s eldest son, Don Jr., also used his Twitter account to call Thunberg “a marketing gimmick” and suggested the activists in Hong Kong should have won the nomination.

Thunberg responded in the best way possible by changing her Twitter profile to read: “A teenager working on her anger management problem. Currently chilling and watching a good old fashioned movie with a friend.”

People have been wondering where the hypocritical Third Lady was in this shitshow of the highest order since she launched a Be Best anti-cyberbullying campaign. Melanie also blasted a legal scholar for having the audacity to mention her son Barron’s name, but she remained silent after her septuagenarian husband attacked the teenager.

Grisham said in a statement that Melania and the “president” just “communicate differently,” and suggested that because Thunberg is a public figure, it’s OK for her husband to be an asshole to the teenager. She said that Barron is not an activist so, I suppose, uttering his name is off-limits.

Stanford University Law Professor Pamela Karlan did not attack Barron during her testimony to the House Judiciary Committee, but she did point out that the Trumps are not part of a monarchy.

“The Constitution says there can be no titles of nobility, so while the president can name his son Barron, he can’t make him a baron,” Karlan said to explain that Trump does not have unlimited power.  That’s when the Trumps and his MAGA army lost their collective shit because Barron’s name was mentioned.

Melania took to Twitter to slam Karlan for “pandering” and said she should be “ashamed” of “using a child.”

Former First Lady Michelle Obama took to Twitter on Friday to offer Thunberg some words of encouragement. Like her husband, Melania is transparently hypocritical. Trump supporters will continue to attack Thunberg because the teenager made their “president” cry sad tears on Twitter.
